Noel Gifts' Meaningful Contribution to SingHealth's President's Challenge 2023

At Noel Gifts, our passion for making a positive impact on our community shines through our commitment to corporate social responsibility. In 2023, our dedication was beautifully reflected in our enthusiastic and active participation in SingHealth's President Challenge 2023 (SHPC23), themed "Caring Hands, Compassionate Hearts”. Spearheaded by the Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC), this event marked the 19th consecutive year of SingHealth’s unwavering support.

At SHPC23, Noel Gifts readily contributed $15,000 in cash for fundraising activities that benefitted five adopted beneficiary agencies: Caregivers Alliance Limited, Club Heal, HCA Hospice Limited, SingHealth Fund (National Neuroscience Institute Fund), and the Singapore Association of the Visually Handicapped.

Additionally, Noel Gifts also sponsored 12 pyramid hampers valued at $4,800 as prizes for SHPC23’s “12 Peaks Challenge". This exciting challenge brought multiple teams from all SingHealth’s 12 institutions together to participate in physical challenges and fun bonding activities, hence fostering a sense of camaraderie and warmth.

Our sponsorship not only showcased our expertise in crafting unique hampers, but also cleverly aligned with the spirit of the “12 Peaks Challenge”. This subtle yet meaningful connection added an extra layer of relevant to our contribution.

The grand total raised for SHPC23 reached an impressive $1.3 million. During the grand finale on October 21st 2023, SingHealth presented this remarkable sum to the Guest-of-Honor President Tharman Shanmugaratnam. Our Managing Director, Alfred Wong, also had the pleasure of personally presenting the pyramid hampers to the triumphant winners of the 12 Peaks Challenge, marking a joyful conclusion to this meaningful and impactful event.

  About President's Challenge

Initiated by former President S R Nathan in 2000, President’s Challenge represents the coming together of people from all walks of life to help the less fortunate. In 2012, under the leadership of President Tony Tan Keng Yam, President’s Challenge was expanded to go beyond fundraising, by including volunteerism and social entrepreneurship.

Every dollar donated to President’s Challenge goes directly to the benefitting organisations, thanks to our Challenge sponsors Singapore Pools and Singapore Totalisator Board, which provide grants to cover the operating costs of President’s Challenge.
