Grow with Us: Noel Gifts Plants 50 Trees to Celebrate 50 Years

In collaboration with the National Parks Board, Noel Gifts' staff gathered together with honoured guests, beloved families and friends to plant 50 trees – each symbolising a year of growth, resilience and strength to commemorate how far we've come over the past five decades.

What made the day even more special was the participation of younger children, who eagerly joined in despite their age. Families appreciated that the event was not only fun but also an opportunity to teach the next generation the importance of protecting our environment.

This session contributes to Singapore’s OneMillionTrees movement, a national initiative to plant one million trees by 2030. By involving both young and old, Noel Gifts reinforces our belief that sustainability is a shared responsibility across generations. The tree planting also reflects our company’s core mission. While our tagline, "Bringing People Closer," focuses on connecting people, we also aim to bring people closer to nature.

Through our ‘Grow with Us’ session, we not only planted 50 trees to mark our 50 years but also invited our community to grow alongside Noel Gifts, nurturing both our legacy and a greener future together. Feedback from participants has been overwhelmingly positive, with many describing the event as both meaningful and enjoyable. It was a wonderful opportunity for everyone to not only celebrate 50 years of success but also contribute to a greener, more sustainable future for generations to come.

  About Singapore’s OneMillionTrees movement

The OneMillionTrees movement is a nationwide effort to plant a million more trees across Singapore over the next 10 years, bringing the number of trees in Singapore to more than 8 million.

Launched in April 2020, this movement is a concerted effort to increase the number of trees planted throughout the whole of Singapore, including our streetscapes, gardens, parks and park connectors, nature reserves and nature parks, and more. NParks currently plants around 50,000 trees annually. By ramping up our efforts, this will improve our urban environment and enhance our resilience towards climate change, ultimately transforming Singapore into a City in Nature.

The OneMillionTrees Movement is a key part of NParks’ City in Nature vision, which is in turn a key pillar of the Singapore Green Plan 2030.
